![]() Remember when you were a child and everything around you seemed larger than life? Grownups seemed to loom far above you and some even looked like giants. In those days, everything seemed huge.
And Christmas was such a grand time. Everywhere you looked something sparkled, was red and… you know - just smelled like Christmas! And, who could forget the Christmas tree! As far as you were concerned, your family had the biggest and best Christmas tree in the whole neighborhood. Lights, ornaments, garland, candy canes, and tinsel covered the entire tree until you reached the very top and there sat the most amazing star or angel with wings. It just seemed like the tree held a special magic that drifted into all the other rooms in the house and helped make Christmas in your house very festive, warm and wonderful. The tree beckoned to be touched. And why was it that all the really beautiful and special ornaments were placed high enough on the tree where you could never reach them? That made you want to touch them even more! Christmas is a very special time for all of us, but it is even more special for a child because everything does seem bigger and grander. It is a time of awe and the sights, the sounds and the smells will be ingrained in our hearts and minds forever.
